Software Engineer

Speck1 is hiring a Software Engineer to be a part of its development team.

​

The Software Developer will need to perform the following duties:

 

Design, Develop, Modify and Install the Software Applications

​

• Participate in requirements gathering and in end-to-end application testing solution of the SDLC (software development life cycle.

• Analyze & Design Workload Scenario (Workload Analysis) based on the production logs available in AppDynamics & by using Workload Analyzer platform (WAP)

• Develop and design use cases, develop scripts and carry out performance executions.

• Participate in performance tuning and monitoring of software applications that are based on Agile/Waterfall models

• Use Virtualize test suites to simulate the behavior of data and performance of real application systems and deploy a virtual service to replace them to avoid 3rd party application dependencies.

• End to end monitoring of cloud applications and implement Diagnostic Cloud sampler tool to determine performance bottleneck and provide recommendations to optimize high response time transactions and connection issues with application dependencies include DB calls, queue length and caching.

• Review the performance defects with Development team and provide recommendations if any.

• Designs & develops performance test frameworks for performance software engineers to utilize as part of delivery pipeline.

 

Root Cause Analysis and Debug

 

• Debug all types of server related issues like CPU, Memory, Heap, Thread dumps, using industry standard tools like AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Splunk, etc.

• Perform Root Cause Analysis Mechanisms. Identify the issue and define appropriate solutions.

• Use understanding of the workings of the application and all connected applications in the ecosystem to perform root cause analysis.

• Resolve Critical Technical Production Issues using Root Cause Analysis, Strong Debugging Techniques, and Collaboration with various technical teams, Strong Understanding of business flows and integrated upstream & downstream applications.

Requirement Gathering

​

• Interact with customers and application users to gather functional requirements and develop functional scope documents for projects.

• Work with Product Team to categorize client requests as standard/non-standard to reduce time to assess alignment with business strategy and roadmap, and to simplify solution definition and estimation.

• Work with the Product Team to analyze client requirements and determine the solution to be implemented to close any gaps.

• Work with other Software Engineers to discuss and analyze the wireframes for the different screens of the application.

• Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints

 

Testing Applications

 

• Test the application using various testing strategies like Load Testing, stress Testing, Failover Testing, and security Testing to ensure the performance anomalies of the application under test, before they are rolled out successfully to the production in LIVE

• Proficient in Industry standard load testing tools like Load Runner, Neoload, Silk Performer, Jmeter

• Monitor the application performance metrics during the test and conduct review analysis for the same

• Use Best Software Engineering Practices to adhere to Industry Standards.

 

Minimum Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Computer Information Systems or education and experience evaluation in computer science or Computer Engineering or Computer Information Systems
